Last week, students at WPMS received a visit from the Keller Army Community Hospital (KACH) Dental Unit in celebration of Dental Health Month. Robin Paige Schecheter-Smith, RDH, and Corporal Ann Adebawo led an engaging and informative session on best practices for maintaining good oral hygiene.

The presentation covered a range of important topics, including the detrimental effects of acid and sugar on teeth. Students were shown real human teeth to illustrate these dangers, providing a powerful visual lesson. They even had the opportunity to test their own oral pH levels, gaining a personalized understanding of their dental health.

The visit culminated in a fun quiz that tested the students' newly acquired knowledge. The interactive session ensured that the children not only learned about dental health but also actively participated in the learning process.

A big thank you to the entire DENTAC team at Keller Army Community Hospital for their commitment to educating our students and promoting dental health!
