Young Engineers Shine at West Point Schools Robotics Challenge

Students from West Point Elementary and West Point Middle School recently showcased their engineering and coding prowess at the West Point Schools robotics challenge. Held at the elementary school, the event featured six teams in total, with four teams representing the elementary school and two teams from the middle school. Participants utilized LEGO Spike kits to program and build robots, competing in the 2024-2025 FIRST LEGO League challenge, "SUBMERGED." This challenge required teams to design, build, and program LEGO robots to navigate underwater-themed missions.
During the 2.5-minute Robot Game, the robots had to complete various tasks, demonstrating the students' skills in engineering and coding. The top four teams were awarded prizes for their outstanding performance. All students enjoyed a fun-filled time with pizza and snacks, celebrating their achievements and hard work in robotics.
